Rudy sings, "Footloose and Fancy Free," "The Pig Got Up and Slowly Walked Away," and "Tell Me That You Love Me Tonight." Bob Burns tells how he got into movies and then radio. Rudy announces that this is Burns' first appearance on network radio. Bob plays, "St Louis Blues" on his "Bazooka." Lyle Talbot and Ruth Easton appear in a short play titled, "Spring Song." Buddy Baer sings, "I Was Lucky." Well, at least he could carry a tune. He predicts that his brother Max Baer, who is fighting James Braddock tonight, will knock Braddock out in the 5th round. Instead, Braddock won the heavyweight championship by a unanimous decision, in what was called, "The greatest fistic upset since the defeat of John L. Sullivan." |
