Title
Description The evil Dr. Fu swears to get Sir Nayland Smith, and starts with the murder of Sir Crighton Davey. Dr. James Petrie lives on Baker Street (with a notable neighbor, no doubt). The script for the start of this serial is based almost word for word on "The Insidious Dr. Fu Manchu" by Sax Rohmer, published 1913. After several chapters, the script follows other "Fu Manchu" books. The dates for all the shows in this series are subject to correction. Not every character (and performer) listed below appears in every episode. The transcription for episodes #128/#129 are marked, "Fields Brothers Q.S., Hollywood California." An announcement in "Broadcasting Magazine" indicated an "early January, 1939" for the series. It would be heard, "Over 40 stations in the East."
Artists Hanley Stafford (as Sir Nayland Smith), Gale Gordon (as Dr. James Petrie), Ted Osborne (as Dr. Fu Manchu), Paula Winslowe (as Karamaneh), Edmond O'Brien (as Inspector Rymer)
