News headlines are read from New York City before Hitler speaks. "Czecheslovakia has rejected Chancelor Hitler's memorandum." "The British Parliament has been summoned into extraordinary session." "President Roosevelt appeals to Chancelor Hitler and President Benes for peace." Piano fill music is then heard briefly. Joseph Goebbels introduces Hitler, starting at about 1 hour, 14 minutes into the recording. Some sections of the coverage may be duplicated before Dr. Goebbels begins to speak.
