A program to promote the Fourth War Loan, originating from Hollywood, Chicago and New York. This is the first of seven programs on seven consecutive nights. The program starts with a pop arrangement of, "The Minute Waltz," by Chopin. Jack Benny makes a stirring, patriotic speech. Ginny Simms is introduced by Johnny Roventini. Louis P. Lockner, 1939 Pulitzer Prize winner and former A. P. correspondent in Berlin, explains Nazism. He reveals that Hitler plans to "dominate the western hemisphere." The cast of "A Date With Judy" appear in a skit. Virginia Payne appears as "Ma Perkins." From "Mirth and Madness," the "Madhouse Players" do a comedy drama about Hollywood. Bernard Lenrow appears as "Geoffrey Barnes" of "The Mystery Theatre." The cast of "Vic and Sade" does a brief scene on behalf of war bonds. Nelson Olmsted reads B. L. Champion's, "The Sergeant's Reprimand." Alex Dreier speaks about the invasion of the Marshall islands.
