They then do the balcony scene from, "Cyrano de Bergerac." Jane Russell sings, "Buttons and Bows." Dorothy McGuire does a scene from, "Camille." Hedda's essay is about a "black week." General MacArthur has been fired by the man who approved of Alger Hiss. Hedda reveals the reason MacArthur was fired. She says, "How Stalin must be laughing." The program is also known as, "The Hedda Hopper Show." |
